Roy Luther "Luke" Russell Jr., 62, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, at a local hospital. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Jerome Catholic Church with the Rev. Tim Gaines officiating. Roy was born July 10, 1948, in Stephenville, Texas, to Zanah Frances and Roy Luther Russell Sr. He worked as a sewing machine mechanic for Wolf Manufacturing Company for thirty seven years.He loved to fish and hunt with his brother, nephews, daughters, sons-in-law, and especially with his grandson, Blake, who he thought of as his own son. He will be most remembered for his love, his support for his wife, his girls, and grandchildren.He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Roy is survived by his wife, Kathleen, of 39 years; two daughters, Christy Haggard and her husband, Brian, of Fayetteville, Ark. and Michelle Smith and her husband, Chris, of Lorena; brother, Kelly Watson Russell of Arlington; sister, Bobbie Ann Cuzzort of Robinson. The pride of his life was his six grandchildren, Blake, Joslyn, Luke, Kaylie, Russell, and Bradley.
