Funeral Saturday For Mrs. Kate Jackson, 50-Year Resident

Service At Winkelemeyer Chapel Conducted By The Rev. Joseph Wagner, Fulton

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at Winkelmeyer chapel for Mrs. Kate A. Jackson, long-time resident of Salisbury who died at her home here last Thursday night after an extended illness.
Mrs. jackson was born on February 22, 1864 at Prairie Hill. She was the daughter of the late Albert G. and Sarah B. Stewart Houston.
In childhood whe became a member of the Methodist Church and on October 25, 1882 she was married to B. C. Jackson who died in 1944.
Mrs. Jackson had lived in Salisbury for 50 years. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gus Reppenhagen and Mrs. Elmer Straub, both of Salisbury. One son died in infancy.
The Rev. Joseph Wagner of Fulton, former pastor of the First Methodist Church here, conducted the funeral services. He was assisted by the Rev. W. R. Gentry, present pastor of the church. Music was by Miss Jean Winkelmeyer, soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Inez Minor, organist.
Casket bearers were Earl Straub, Jack Straub, Joe Houston, Gilbert Houston, R. P. Jackson and Harold Sutter.
Burial was in the city cemetery
