Obituary from the "Pantagraph" of Bloomington, Illinois dated 27 Jun 1952:
Mrs. Celia Miller
Gibson City - (PNS) - Mrs. Celia Higdon Miller, 86, died at 11:10 a.m. Thursday at her home here. She had been in failing health for some time.
She was taken to the Lamb Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday with Dr. S. A. Gothrie, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Gibson City Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller was born in Saybrook April 7, 1866, the daughter of Peter and Mary Miller Higdon. She was married to Charles B. Miller June 16, 1896 at Elliott. She had lived in Gibson City since her marriage.
Survivors are a daughter, Ethel, at home; a son, Charles P. of Walnut; two brothers, S. G. Higdon and B. F. Higdon, both of Britt, Iowa; a granddaughter; one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
