She was a lifelong member of the West Freedom United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. In 1979, she retired from the Parker Elementary School cafeteria of Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District after many years. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting, as well as creating flower and vegetable gardens.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Leslie (Barbara) Callander of West Freedom; four sons, Karl Elliott of North Carolina, Gayle and David Elliott, both of West Freedom, and Rodney Elliott of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 21 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
An infant son, three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
ELLIOTT - Friends of Cora Belle Elliott, who died Wednesday, March 10, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, Wayne Street, Parker. Visitation also will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at West Freedom United Methodist Church, where services will follow at 11 a.m. The Rev. Barry Weyant and the Rev. Bessie Maihle, United Methodist ministers, will officiate. Burial will be at West Freedom Cemetery.
