DONALDSON, Larry Eugene 68, a resident of Essex of Springfield,, passed away peacefully, Saturday afternoon, January 26, 2013 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born in Piqua, Ohio on March 14, 1944, the son of the late Forrest W and Thora I (Myers) Donaldson. Larry worked as an auto technician for Hidy Honda for 28 years. He attended Hillside Baptist Church and was an avid bowler. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Betsy M. (Tilton) Donaldson; six children, Tom (Connie) Donaldson of Xenia, Kim (Steve) Witham of Hillsboro, Lisa (Mike) Priser of Westlake, Louisiana, Duston (Missie) Donaldson of Clarksville, Ohio, Nikki (Brian) Deubner of Greenville, and Tony (Melissa) Donaldson of Xenia; two step children, Kevin (Lynn) Donaldson and Kimberlie Cole, both of Springfield; a sister, Pam Wiese of Sulphur, Louisiana; a brother, Robert Donaldson of Westlake, Louisiana; nineteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Breaux and a step-son, Steve Donaldson. The family would like to express their thanks to the staffs at Essex of Springfield and Springfield Regional Medical Center for the love and care given to Larry. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Larry's funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Friday in the funeral home with Rev. Ben Gibson officiating. A private burial service will be held in Fletcher Chapel Cemetery.
