MRS. ACKLEY DIES IN MURPYSBORO
Mrs. Lillie Lillian Ackley, 73, of 1116 N. 11th St., Murphysboro, was dead on arrival at St. Joseph Hospital, Murpysboro, Thursday afternoon, after an apparent heart failure. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church. Born June 6, 1895 in Ina, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Barker. She was married to the Rev. Raymond Ackley on Dec. 3, 1913, in Elk Prairie. He died Dec. 24, 1967. She leaves daughters, Mrs. Inez Woodrick, Burbonian; the Rev. Mrs. Wilma Lentz of Tamms, and Mrs. Geneva Cowell of Murphysboro; sons, Clyde Ackley of Middleton and Hershel Ackley of Bonfield; sister, Mrs Helen Wilson of Petersburg; brother, Charlie Barker of Baroda, Mich.; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Ackley will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Tamms Community Pentecostal Church, with the Rev. Charles Mayberry and the Rev. Herbert Ridlin officiating. Burial will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Friends may call at the Farnsworth Funeral Home, Tamms, today.
