Professional Football Player. He played both offensive halfback and defensive end for the Chicago Cardinals from 1946 to 1950. He also played college football for the University of Texas from 1939 to 1941, and where he excelled in track and basketball. With the Cardinals, he was named the NFL Player of the Year in 1947 and an All-Pro end for 1947 to 1948. After football Kutner became involved in the oil industry in Texas. He was inducted into the National Football Foundation's College Hall of Fame in 1974 and the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in 1994. He died in Tyler, Texas, at the age of 83.
