Eric Terrell Dorsey


DORSEY Eric Terrell Dorsey, 28, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, entered into eternal rest at University Hospital on January 24, 2013. He was born December 1, 1984.

Son of Peggy Ann Jackson and Edward "Tucker" Dorsey.

He graduated from Frederick A. Douglas Senior High School in 2002.

Eric was currently employed with City Greens Restaurant.

Eric is survived by his parents Peggy Ann Jackson and Edward "Tucker" Dorsey (Edrienne), one son, Kenzo Batiste. Brothers Edward "Tony" Dorsey (Janenne), Darelle Emile Brooks of Houston, Texas, Jaron Dorsey of Austin, Texas and one sister, Daralyn Maney of Houston Texas. Stepfather Alvin Maney. Also survived by his beloved girlfriend Ilachicola Baptiste. He also leaves his grandfather, Roosevelt Frye, grandmother, Barbara Reeves, nephews, Taj, Jet, Jamal Jr., and Ashton Dorsey. Aunts Gloria Russell (Graylyn), Debra Muhammad, Victoria Dorsey of Houston, Texas, Evelyn and Barbara Frye, Brandy Jack. Uncles Lawrence Jackson, Carl Dorsey (Ferleshia) of Ft. Worth, Texas, Lucien Dorsey (Hallie) of Houston, Texas, Abiram Frye Sr. (Misty) and Anderson Watts. Two godchildren Kentrell Jarvis and Phallon Peters, godmother Kimberly Pollard; a devoted friend of the family Nicolette Flynn of Atlanta, Georgia and a host of other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, pastors, officers and members of Stronger Hope Baptist Church, Liberty in Christ Fellowship, Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church, and St. Paul Lutheran Churches, also City Greens, Bisso Marine, Exxon Mobile, Silver Leaf Resort, Emerils Restaurant, Sygma, Gleason Elementary,Village on the Park, Lab Corp, New Orleans Family Justice Center Alliance, Walgreens, Touro Hospital, University Hospital and DHH Health Standards Section are invited to attend the funeral service at Stronger Hope Baptist Church, 2401 S. Galvez St. on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Dr. J.C. Profit, Jr., officiating Pastor. Visitation from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM.

Interment: McDonoughville Cementary, Gretna, Louisiana.
