Clifton T. "Mitch" Mitchell, age 92, of Tucker, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Tucker.
Born in Hall County, Mr. Mitchell was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Tucker. He retired from General Motors Doraville after 31 years of service, was a self employed landscaper and served in the U.S. Army during WWII in N. Africa and Italy. He was a member of the Tucker Masonic Lodge # 42 F&AM.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Vertice Jean Mitchell of Tucker; son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Peggy Mitchell of Lawrenceville; granddaughter and her husband, Suzanne and Brian Frankum of Lawrenceville and great grandsons, Logan and Colin Frankum.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel. (770) 564-2726.
