Ada Lee Buchanan, 81, of Allendale, died at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2006, at Willow Manor Nursing Home in Vincennes, Ind.
Mrs. Buchanan was born on October 20,1924, in Wabash County, the daughter of George and Bessie (Compton) Bince. She married Earl Buchanan on July 25,1943. He preceded her in death on April 24, 2006.
She was a member of first Christian Church of Allendale, Allendale Ruritanettes, Illiana
Ruritan Club and Wabash County Historical Society.
Mrs. Buchanan is survived by a daughter, Kay Blair and her husband, John, of Allendale; a son, Gary Buchanan and his wife, Angie, of Allendale; and grandchildren, Adam and Abby Buchanan, Patrick Kieffer, Lauren Russell, Amanda Sharp, Misty and Jake McQueen, and Katie and Robin Dicus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; an infant daughter; and a brother, Don Bince.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Allendale Cemetery in Allendale. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. at Ingram Funeral Home in Allendale. The family will receive friends at the Allendale Ruritan Building following the graveside- service.
