Funeral services for Herbert H. Henderson, 45, were held at 9:30 Saturday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Mr. Henderson died at 11:07 a.m., Wednesday, November 22, 1967 in the House of the Food Samaritan, Watertown, where he had been a patient since September 14.
He was born November 7, 1922, in Ogdensburg, the son of Theodore and Cora Dupree Henderson. He attended schools in Massena.
Mr. Henderson and Miss Dorcas Hutchins were married in Sacred Heart Rectory October 4, 1947.
He entered the US Navy, took his basic training at the Sampson Naval Base and served during World War II.
Mr. Henderson joined Alcoa, Massena Operations as a helper in the merchant mill. In 1941 he transferred to the powerhouse and in that same year to the repair and maintenance department. He was named a painter A in 1947.
He was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a member of the Holy Name Society, the 25-Year Service Club at Alcoa.
Surviving are his wife; his mother; three children, Nancy, 18, a student at Canton ATI, Theodore, 15, and Barbara, 7, at home; also six sisters, Mrs. Bernard (Theresa) Raymo, Massena; Mrs. George (Ora) Freeman, North Woodstock, CT; Mrs. Lester (Frances) LaShomb, Massena; Mrs. Donald (Mary) Meyers, Massena; Mrs. Howard (Pauline) Tyo, Manlius; Mrs. Roger (Elizabeth) Trembley, Constable; two brothers, Earl Henderson and Raymond Henderson, Massena.
