The Washington Post reported on Sept.2, 1924 that Dr. Brown had been ill for more a year and died from a heart ailment.
At the time of his death, Dr. Brown was president of the Montgomery County Medical Society and was said to have had the largest practice in the county at that time. He graduated from the U. of Md. medical school system in 1892. He was also a director of the Silver Spring National Bank.
Besides his widow, Mary, he left a sister in Hague, Va., Mrs. William C. Tayloe. His father was the late Benjamin F. Brown of Westmoreland county, Va.
