Cumberland, MD - Eleanor Louise Butler, 82, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Born April 20, 1930, in Red Hill, MD, Mrs. Butler was the daughter of the late George Russell Clise and Alice Rosetta (Capel) Clise.
She was also preceded in death by her husband: James Butler; a sister: Beatrice A. Browning; and two brothers: Junior and David Clise. Eleanor retired from United Hospital, Clarksburg, WV, and was a life-member of the Salvation Army. She is survived by her sister: Anna Beeghly, Cumberland, MD; and her brothers: George Robert Clise and wife, Sue, Warren OH; and Charles A. Clise and wife, Karyn, Diamond, OH; and well as numerous nieces and nephews of whom she was very proud. Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Friday, February 1, 2013, from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, February 1, 2013, at 1:00 P.M. with Chaplain Lieutenant Jim Dillingham officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
