Carl J. "June" Parks, 79, of Portales, NM died January 25, 2013 at University Medical Center in Lubbock. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm at Texico Cemetery with Pastor Cathy Bullington officiating.

June was born October 7, 1935 to George Washington and Myrtle (Torrix) Parks in Homeny, OK. He married Verna Hudson June 18, 1960 in Muleshoe, TX. He worked for the Texico Police Department for 20 years and was a member of Texico Assembly of God. June loved fishing, hunting, collecting Antiques, Knives, and most of all memories of his family.

Survivors include his three daughters, Peggy (Kelly) Welch of Clovis, NM, Rhonda (Ronald) Smith of Walnut Grove, MO, and Vickie Mowules of Florida; two sons, Calvin Parks, and Avery (Cindy) Parks of Portales, NM; a sister, Maxine Wolf of Muleshoe, TX; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Carl Parks was cremated and his cremains buried on his mother's grave.
