Mrs. Leah R. Gibson, 86, died in Kansas City Wednesday morning following a lengthy illness.
Born in Sabetha, Kan., she had lived in St. Joseph many years before moving to North Kansas City 18 years ago.
She was the widow of Ernest Gibson who died in 1962. Mrs. Gibson was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church, and the American Benefit Association over 50 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Monk, North Kansas City, and Mrs. Betty Nichols, Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother, Ray Burri, St. Joseph; one sister, Mrs. Berniece Scanlon, Wichita, Kan., two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Meierhoffer-Fleeman mortuary.
