Ivie Funeral Home announces services for Emmett Sanford Duren of Commerce, Georgia. Mr. Duren retired from the City of Atlanta after 32 years of service. He was the son of the late Milton Marion and Lucy Popie Little Duren and was also preceded in death by his first wife Cleo Duren. Mr. Duren is survived by his second wife Sara Kesler Farmer Duren, daughter Beverly (Jerry) Scott of Commerce, Georgia; Step Son Jones A. ( Charlotte) Garmon of Jefferson,Georgia step daughter Betty Jean ( Ernest) Edwards of Commerce, Georgia 2 brothers Fred Duren of Auburn, Georgia, and D.C. Duren of Lawrenceville, Georgia. 2 sisters Lilllian Cannon of Winder, Georgia and Peggie Prince of Clermont, Georgia; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren and a number of neices and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by Step Daughter Barbara Edwards and a Grandson Emmett Kevin Scott.

Funeral Services will be Saturday at 2 PM from the Hudson River Baptist Church with Rev. Troy Herbert officiating with burial in the church cemetery.
