Edith Knox Ellison, age 96 of Kennesaw, died Sunday, November 7th. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kennesaw United Methodist Church with Rev. Wallace Wheeles officiating. Burial will follow at Kennesaw City Cemetery. She will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. until the service. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Born September 14, 1908 in Cherokee County, Mrs. Ellison lived in Cobb County since 1928. She was an avid gardener and was a member of Kennesaw United Methodist Church. Survivors, daughters and sons in law, Nell and Jim Hughes, Kennesaw; Dorothy and Joe Russell, Kennesaw; Helen and Charles Harrison, Dunwoody; son and daughter in law, Robert and Betty Ellison, Kennesaw; son in law, Hugh Ragsdale, Kennesaw; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren.
