A private family burial service for Wayne Nickler Sr., 75, Bucyrus, wil be held Saturday, Feb. 1, at Oceola Cemetery.
Mr. Nickler died at 3:25 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at the home of his daughter, Brenda Fletcher, Carey.
Mr. Nickler was born in Bucyrus Dec. 19, 1927, to Edward and Pearl (Snavely) Nickler.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. James (Janice) Sutter, Willard; Mrs. Milton (Phyllis) Brown, Shilo; and Mrs. Randy (Brenda) Fletcher, Carey; two sons, Wayne Nickler, Jr. and Roy D. Nickler, Bucyrus; 18 grandchildren, two brothers, Grover Nickler and Lloyd Nickler, Bucyrus; and four sisters, Margaret Heckert, Patricia Young, Barbara Charlton and Rayetta Patrick, all of Bucyrus.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Ed Nickler Jr.
Mr. Nickler lived most of his life in Bucyrus. He enjoyed working at New Winchester Golf Course where he worked on course maintenance.
He was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran.
The body has been cremated.
