Funeral services for Mary Gillan Duffin Callahan who died Thurday, were held at the home of her son William Duffin, at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon.
Mrs. Calahan was the daughter of George and Sarah Fulton Gillan, she was born in Tremont, Illinois, October 10 1854. She was married to Alexander Duffin in Pekin, Illinois on September 18, 1875. Mr. Duffin was killed in dystillery explosion September 10, 1884. She was married to Daniel Callahan in October 23, 1889. He preceded her in death.
Surviving her are two children, George Duffin of rural Paxton, Illinois and William Duffin of Mackinaw. There are ten grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs Martin Foley of Tremont and Mrs Maggie Darrity of West Gladen, Nebraska, also survive her. Mrs. Callahan was a memer of the Catholic Church and of the Royal Neighbors of America in Allentown.
Mrs. Callahan was visiting in Tremont at the home of her sister Mrs. Martha Foley, who has been very ill. She came to Mackinaw to the home of her son William Duffin two weeks ago. She was ill for five days with pnuenomia before her death. Burial was in the Tremont cemetery.
