JOPLIN, MO.-Lucinda "Cindy" Adams, 38, Joplin, formerly of St. Joseph, died Wednesday , Oct. 2, 1991, after being shot during a robbery at a convenience store where she was employed.
Mrs. Adams was a clerk at the Fastrip Convenience Store in Joplin. Born in Marysville, Kan., she had moved from St. Joseph to Joplin two months ago.
In St. Joseph she worked in the laundry department of Heartland Hospital West for five years.
She was graduated from Central High School in St. Joseph and was a member of the Christian church.
Surviving: Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Philippi of St. Joseph; four sons, Brent and Brian LaFollette, both of St. Joseph, and Anthony and Christopher Adams, both of the home; a stepbrother, Donald L. of Overland Park, Kan.and a stepsister, Charlene Ostrowski of St. Joseph.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Heaton Bowman, Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph. Burial: Ashland Cemetery, St. Joseph. Visitation after 1 p.m. today at the chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
