HUNTINGTON - Frances E. Kistler, 91, Huntington, IN, died Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 8:34 p.m. at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, IN.

Mrs. Kistler was born September 9, 1921 in Fort Edward, NY to Wilbur and Ruth Whaley Lyons. Her parents preceded her in death.

Mrs. Kistler was a retired high school secretary and a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Women's Club and Eastern Star. She married Richard O. Kistler on January 15, 1950 at the Trinity Methodist Church, Kokomo, IN. Mr. Kistler preceded her in death on December 5, 2011.

Survivors include one son, George "Bill" (Kathy) Kistler, San Jose, CA; a daughter, Ann (Allen) Sims, Huntington, IN; a brother, Richard Lyons, Indianapolis, IN; four grandchildren, Elizabeth "Liz" (Dave) Karst, Huntington, IN, Curtis Kistler, Peter Kistler, and Amy Kistler Fyfe all of San Jose, CA; two great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Megan Karst, Huntington, IN. Survivors also include Mrs. Kistler's sister-in-law, Martha Kistler, Greenfield, IN; three nieces; three nephews; eighteen great-nieces and nephews and twenty-two great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition Mrs. Kistler was preceded in death by two sons, John and James Kistler; a sister, Mary Lou Lyons and a grandson, Andrew Fenimore.

Calling hours will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2013 at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750. Additional calling will be 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 prior to the service at the Christ the King Episcopal Church, 1224 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Christ the King Episcopal Church, Huntington, IN. Fr. Rich Miller will preside.

Graveside services and burial will be conducted on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Redkey, IN.

In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to the Salvation Army of Huntington, IN, in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750.
