Mrs. Edna Mae Shipley, 79, of Rt. 1 Williamsport, widow of Jack W. Shipley, died Sunday at the Homewood Church Home, after a long illness.
Born in Tilghmanton, she was a daughter of Isaiah and Esta Hays Showe.
She was a member of Downsville Christian Church, and Red Feather Council No. 59, Degree of Pocahontas, I.O.R.M. of Williamsport.
She is survived by a
daughter, Mrs. Hilda French of Williamsport;
sons,
Harold Shipley of Williamsport, and
Jay V. Shipley of Hagerstown;
sisters,
Mrs. Goldie McName of Lappans,
Mrs. Carrie Cunningham of Hagerstown; and
16 grandchildren, and
25 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Church of God in Williamsport. The Rev. Paul S. Cook and the Rev. Truman Christian will officiate; burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Leaf Funeral Home in Williamsport on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9.
