Carroll Rodney Voight was born to Afton Odell and Christine Wyvonne Voigt on July 25, 1950. A graduate of Bastrop High School, Carroll was employed by Johnny Odom's Construction Company. His leisure time was intertwined with the community ballfield of Rockne Community Recreation Club.
Just shy of his 20th birthday, Carroll was united in marriage to Shannon Lea Harris on June 6, 1970 at First Baptist Church in Bateman. The couple was married 39 years at the time of Shannon's death and were the parents of 2 sons, a daughter, and four grandchildren. In addition, Carroll is survived by 2 brothers.
