Freeman Burleson TEXHOMA, Okla. - Freeman Burleson, 88, died Sunday, March 15, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Christian Church with Mike Dumler, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Texhoma Cemetery by Dawson-Welch Funeral Home. Mr. Burleson was born in Ada. In his early years, he worked for the railroad. He later farmed. He married Zetta Bell Parsley in 1930 at Altus. They moved to Texhoma in 1942. Mr. Burleson worked for the Texas and Oklahoma schools for 20 years. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Betty Fry of Texhoma and Carolyn Gilstrip of Seymour, Texas; a son, Bob Burleson of Sallisaw; a sister, Georgia Hinkle of Modesto, Calif; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Texhoma Educational Foundation c/o the school or Dawson-Welch Funeral Home, 715 W. Main, Texhoma, Okla.
