Eleanor Packer Bowen, 68, died Sunday at her residence. A native of Sampson Co., she was the daughter of the late Swindell and Mary Packer. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ethel Raynor.

A funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Mary Mother of the Church Catholic Church, Garner. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Cemetery, Newton Grove.

Surviving; her husband, Joe Bowen, sisters, Elizabeth Woodruff and husband, Jim of Clemson, SC, Margaret Jones and husband, Joe of Clinton and Susie Stewart and husband, Earl of Benson; brothers, Lewis Packer of Goldsboro and Tommy Packer and wife, Annette of Garner; 3 step children; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

The family will be at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner,
6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday with a prayer service at 7:30 PM.
