Patty L. Moore, 73, of Butlerville, Indiana passed away at 3:29 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Moore was born September 15, 1939 in Zenas, Indiana the daughter of Curtis G. and Helen I. Burgess Ponsler. She married John K. Moore on July 21, 1957 in Nebraska, Indiana; he survives.
Patty retired in 2000 from the former Lowry's Grocery in Butlerville, Indiana after 30 years; she was the Librarian of Butlerville School for 6 years and retired in January of 1990 from the Butlerville Post Office where she had worked for 10 years. She was a member of Otter Creek Baptist Church where she was a former trustee; she was the caretaker of the Butlerville Cemetery and had served as the secretary/treasurer of the Butlerville Cemetery for 30 plus years. She was a 1957 graduate of North Vernon High School. Her enjoyments included gardening, working outdoors, square dancing, cooking, playing with her grandchildren and her dog, Monkey.
She is survived by her husband, John Moore of Butlerville, Indiana; her children, Wayne A. Moore and Lisa G. Moore both of North Vernon, Indiana; a brother, James D. (Sherry) Ponsler of North Vernon, Indiana and two grandchildren, Kerrigan Moore and Leighton Moore both of North Vernon, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon, Indiana with the Rev's. Connie Barr and Marvin Wright officiating. Friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Butlerville Cemetery in Butlerville, Indiana.
