Flowers, 59, former Daleville resident died unexpectedly Thursday at her home in North Vernon. She was a native of Indiana and lived in Anderson until 1982. Mrs. Flowers was a Daleville High School graduate. She had been a receptionist for Dr. John Hurley, now deceased, and had been secretary to the principal at Daleville High School and the Delaware County superintendent of schools. She was a former member of Daleville United Methodist Church and of its choir. Surviving are her husband, William L. Flowers; a daughter, Cindy McCune, Muncie; three stepsons, Kenneth and Kris Flowers, both of Indianapolis, and Kent Flowers, Chandler, Arizona; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hatfield, Daleville; three sisters, Mary Lillie and Kay Stevenson, both of Yorktown, and Jody Wilson, Daleville; three grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Ballard & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Anderson, pastor of Daleville United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery, Muncie. Calling hours at the funeral home are 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
