James "Sonny" Campbell, 77, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013.

He was born November 1, 1935 in Shelbyville, Texas to Jim Fred Campbell and Callie Furlow Campbell.

He has been a resident of Port Arthur since 1957 and retired from Southern Union Gas as a field supervisor. He was also a Mason of Port Arthur Lodge #1264 and U.S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Campbell.

Survivors include his daughter, Penny Younker and husband, Don of Houston; sisters, Ann Scarber of Huxley, Louise Green of Shelbyville, Kay Ballard and husband, Stan of Mont Belvieu; brothers, carl Campbell of Port Arthur, Critt Campbell of Shelbyville, Earl Campbell and wife, Vivian of Center; grandchildren, Ryan Kutner, Barra Kutner, Devon Younker and Dalton Younker.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center Texas with Masonic Graveside Services to follow in Strong Cemetery.
