Orvel Whitesell, 66, Rt. 1, Tippecanoe, died at 6:54 p.m. Friday in Parkview Hospital at Plymouth following a heart attack. He had been ill with a heart condition.

He was born March 30, 1916 in Albion to Gloid and Emma Coprlsnf Whitesell and moved from Albion to the Tippecanoe area in 1955. He was married Jan.11, 1941 to Verna Bensart, who survives. He was a farmer and had been a carpenter for Secrist Builders for 10 years. He was a member of the Rochester Eagles Lodge.

Surviving with the wife are two brothers, Ralph and Richard [Whitesell], both of Warsaw, and a sister, Betty Foreman, Warsaw.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the King Memorial Home in Mentone with the Rev. Ken Marken officiating. Burial will be in the Mentone Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday.
