Ruth and Theodore never had any children of their own although they raised their nephew and niece, George John Padermos and Christine Mary Vanessa Padermos, children of Ruth's deceased sister Mary Allen Padermos.
Ruth and her husband lived at 1326 Maple Avenue Northeast, Canton, Ohio, from 1921 to 1983, almost their entire married life.
They had a double lot, and the lot beside their house was always full of flowers and vegetables during warm weather.
Ruth was a homemaker her entire life.
In late July 1983, Ruth's husband Theodore fell down the stairs, broke his hip, and was taken to Aultman Hospital where surgery was performed. He got a blood clot from the surgery and died.
Ruth did not want to live without her husband and refused to eat.
Ruth and Theodore had been married for 64 years.
Ruth died 13 days after him by her own desire.
A true love story!
