Elmer Paul York
Elmer Paul York, 71, of Boron passed away on April 6, 2002. Mr. York was born July 4, 1930 in Clinton, Missouri and moved to Boron in 1955 with his wife, Patricia. They were married for 49 years.
Mr. York retired from US Borax in 1994 after a 38-year career as a refrigeration technician. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and playing country music on his guitar.
He leaves behind his wife, Patricia; six children; Russell York, Jay York, Sandy LaMoureaux and Patty Garcia all of Boron; Scott York of Bishop and Carolyn Moore of Utah. He also is survived by 21 grandchildren and six great grand children whom he loved dearly as he did his children.
Also surviving Mr. York are one brother, Luther York and five sisters; Ramona, Hazel, Lyola, Pat and Mary Jo. He was preceded in death by his son, Jack York and grand daughter, Holly York.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2002 at 1 p.m. at East Kern Cemetery in Mojave. Family friend Richard Miller will officiate.
