Dennis Monroe Duke, 67, of Hatcher Drive, Fayetteville, died Friday evening in Mid-State Medical Center in Murfreesboro.

A graveside service was conducted Sunday afternoon at Rose Hill Cementery by Otto Lochner. Higgins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Duke was a native of Davidson County, a son of the late Burton Connan and Selene Paul Duke. He was shipping supervisor for Genesco for 44 years and a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Laura Fitzgerald Duke of Fayetteville; a daughter, Mrs. Delores Rowell of Lexington, Kentucky; a granddaughter, Amy Rowell, of Lexington; three sisters, Mrs. Margie Denton of LaVergne, Mrs. Frances Bly of Nashville, and Mrs. Rose Horn of Erin, Tennessee; and two brothers, Glenn Duke and Paul Duke, both of Nashville.
