Marjorie Sears Lillie, 85, passed away on April 15, 2011. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2011 at 2:00p.m. at McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Ferry officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Odie Lillie and son-in-law, Brad Thomas.
She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia L. Thomas of Garner, Patricia D. Griffin & husband, Sam of Fuquay-Varina, one son, Bruce W. Lillie of Raleigh, grandchildren, Neal Anderson, Heather Bledsoe, Jon Thomas, Erin Thomas Horne, great grandchildren, Robbie Bledsoe, Brendan Bledsoe, Ashley Bledsoe, Landon Thomas, Reagan Thomas.
"Miss Marge", as she was affectionately known, worked at Rex Hospital Child Development Center for 33 years. She touched the lives of thousands of children and families, and will never be forgotten. She was also a long time member of First Presbyterian Church of Garner.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. at McLaurin Funeral Home.
