Professional Golfer. In a professional career from 1961-1977 he recorded 16 wins including 8 on the PGA tour. He was a 5 time winner of the Canadian PGA Championship. In 1969 he finished second at the Master's Championship to George Archer. After retiring he taught golf and wrote the book The Natural Golf Swing. In 1969 he was elected to the Canada Sports Hall of Fame, in 1988 he was elected to the Royal Canadian Golf Association Hall of Fame. In addition he was a member of the Order of Canada. In 1988 he was diagnosed with lung cancer which eventually spread to his brain killing him in 1989.
