Roy Howard Ayers, 81, of Broadway died January 27, 2013 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

He was born January 25, 1932 in Pendleton County, WV, and was the son of the late John Kimble and Delphi Jane Full Ayers.

He was a truck loader for Kawneer in Harrisonburg. He was a member of Rader Lutheran Church in Timberville.

In July, 1956 he married the former Lois A. Bowman, who preceded him in death May 5, 2003.

He is survived by his son, Gale L. Ayers of Harrisonburg; and close friend, Johnny Gordon.

He was preceded in death by his foster mother, Virginia Souder.

Pastor Kirk Shipley will conduct a funeral service 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Grandle Funeral Home chapel in Broadway. Burial will be in the Rader Lutheran Church cemetery. Friends may call anytime at Grandle Funeral Home.
