Emma V. Babbio (nee Certosimo), 92, of Jersey City passed away on Jan. 12, 2011, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark's Church, 215 Crescent Parkway, Sea Girt, N.J., on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J. Born in Jersey City, Emma attended Snyder High School before meeting her husband, the late Lawrence Babbio. She worked for Ryerson Steel, retiring as a shipping clerk. Emma was an active member of the St. Peter's Prep Mothers Club. She loved her family, her friends, and her summers in Manasquan. Emma was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Geraldine; her beloved husband, Lawrence, and her siblings. She is survived by her son, Lawrence Jr. and his wife, Sheri, of New York City; grandchildren, Lawrence III, Robyn, and Lucas, and great-grandchildren, Antonia, Alyna, Nicolas, and E.J.
