ETHEL E. HOOPER

GLOUSTER--Ethel E. Hooper, 88, of Glouster, passed away Friday January 12, 2012 at the OSU Medical Center, Columbus. Born December 21, 1923 in Perry County, she was the daughter of the late John and Josephine McNally Dew. She enjoyed shopping, cooking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by one son, Dow (Linda) Hooper Jr. of Trimble; two daughters, Joann (Jack) Shilling of Zanesville and Janet (Robert) Smith of Dayton; 10 grandchildren, Randy and Bryan Hooper, Gina Hooper Mecum, Michelle Smith Tupper, Kaci Roberts, and Jeremy, Kara, Robert, Jacob and Nancy Hooper; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Snyder of Paris, KY.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L. Dow Hooper; one son, Jeff Hooper; one grandson, Richard Hooper; seven brothers, Dale, Charles, Guy, Manley, Harry, John, and David Dew; and one sister Dorothy Ebright.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday Jan. 17, 2012 at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, 6525 S. State Route 78, Glouster, Ohio 45732.

Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Griends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 p.m. until the time of service.
