Kimberly Diane Robinson, 50, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013, in a local medical center after a long battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2013, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 Highway 277 South, Abilene, with Mr. James Crim officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Kimberly Diane was born August 9, 1962 to William Dean Harwell and Celia Ann Jones Harwell in Abilene, Texas where she lived all of her life. She attended schools in Abilene and graduated from Cooper High School. Kimberly was a medical transcriptionist; worked at Montgomery Ward; and was general manager for Dollar General until she became ill in 2010. She loved camping and fishing, but she mostly enjoyed her grandchildren.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her father, Bill Harwell and her husband, Doug Robinson (1996).

Survivors include her loving husband, David Dorsey of Abilene; two sons, Van West Robinson and wife Jennifer and Austin Wayne Robinson and fiance; Kristin Sanders; her step-daughter, Cathy Robinson of Houston; her mother, Celia Ann Harwell; four brothers and sisters, Jennifer Vann and husband Calvin, Regena Gay Weaver and husband Kenny, Micheal Harwell and wife Leslie, and Patrick Harwell and wife Donna; two grandsons, Brock and Keaton Robinson --- the light of her life; multiple nieces and nephews that she loved dearly; and many many friends.
