Graveside service for Morris "Tommy" Keirsey Barham, 86, a longtime resident of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 in the Rosehill Cemetery. The Reverend Kenny Rigoulet and Mr. Robert Dollgener will officiate. Pallbearers will be Cody Thornton, Joel Rogers, Brent Herbelin, Randy Bell, J. R. Elkins and Pete Howe. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.
Mr. Barham passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 in Cleburne. He was born Jan. 3, 1927 in Cleburne to Nicholas Carmen and Ruby Nell Keirsey Barham. He married Virginia Lucille Starling on June 21, 1947 in Cleburne.
Mr. Barham served his country in the United States Army in the Philippines during World War II. He was retired after 34 years service as an Engineer with the Texas Highway Department. Tommy loved to read books and do woodworking. He was a member of United Presbyterian Church in Cleburne. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Virginia Lucille Barham; two daughters, Theresa Nell Barham Elkins and husband, J.R. of Cleburne, Laurie Lynn Barham Bell and husband, Randy of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Cody Thornton and wife Sara, of Cleburne, Lena Thornton of Cleburne; Amber Herbelin and husband Brent of College Station and Kelli Rogers and husband Joel of Austin; eight great grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
