GLEASON: Services for Neal Franklin Mayo, 77, were at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 20 at Gallimore Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Copeland officiating. Burial was in New Valley Cemetery. Mr. Mayo, retired employee of Gleason Brick Company, died on Friday, June 18 at Hillview Nursing Home in Dresden. He was born June 6, 1927 in Lexington to the late Alex B. and Eula Goff Mayo. Survivors include two sons, Joe Neal Mayo of Dresden and Ricky Mayo of Union City; three daughters, Carol Clary of Cottage Grove, Barbara Edwards and Mary Ann Clement, both of Gleason; a brother, Hurley Mayo of Dresden; three sisters, Louise Barnett and Ledell Jordan, both of Gleason and Ruby Gray of Plant City, Florida; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Bolton Mayo; a brother Alex B. Mayo, Jr. and two grandchildren.
