After an illness of six weeks, Mrs. C. Swanson died at her home in Argyle on March 8, 1920. Her maiden name was Christie Knudson, and she was born in Sogndahlen, Norway, coming to America with her parents at the age of 12 years. She was married to Andrew Swanson Norstelien and to them were born three children, Anna, Christian and Andrew. Mr. Swanson died in 1863, and Andrew and Christian died some years later. Besides her daughter Anna who lives at home, she leaves to mourn her departure an aged brother Knudt A. Knudson, of Fairbault, Minnesota.
She was a woman of strong character, fair and just in her dealings and respected by all who knew her.
The funeral will be held at the West Wiota church today. The burial will take place at the West Wiota cemetery.
