In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Carol Endicott.
Melvin was a heavy equipment operator for Pittston Coal Company for 24 years. He was a 1973 graduate of Man High School. Melvin was a member of the New Hope Freewill Baptist Church at Man. He enjoyed hunting and loved playing with his grandson.
Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother, are his wife of 27 years, Tudy Boothe Wiley of Kistler;
one daughter, Amber Lynn Collins of Kistler;
one grandson, Dylan Collins of Kistler;
two step-children, Keri (Judge Will) Thompson of Madison and Justin (Brittany) Thompson of Louisville, KY;
two brothers, Terry L. Wiley of Florence, KY and Rick Wiley of Man;
two brothers-in-law whom he considered brothers, David (Ursela) Boothe of Logan and Woody (Sabrina) Boothe of Lorado;
two sisters-in-law, Linda (Rev. Ernie) Williamson of Davin and Mary Boothe of Charleston;
several nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
