Emily Skeen, 91, of Dade City, Fla., died Thursday, January 17, 2013, in Westwinds ALF of Zephyrhills, Fla.

She was born May 26, 1921, in Upper Tyrone Township, a daughter of the late Alex and Jennie Mae Heffelfinger Stimmel.

Mrs. Skeen was a graduate of Centerville High School.

She was an administrative assistant to the director of the Social Security Administration for more than 30 years, before retiring in 1976.

Mrs. Skeen was a member of First Baptist Church of Zephyrhills.

She enjoyed going to church, having Bible studies and walking her dogs and cats.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Stella Stimmel of Las Vegas, Nev.; a stepdaughter, Connie (Thomas) Workman of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; three stepgrandchildren, Eric, Nacole and Emily Workman; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are two husbands, Howard B. Dickinson and Wendell Skeen; three brothers, William Stimmel, Robert Stimmel and Edgar Stimmel; and a sister, Cora Bess Horner.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to noon, the time of service, Saturday, January 26, in Taylor United Methodist Church, 823 Old National Pike, Brownsville, PA 15417-9253, with Pastor Melissa Geisler officiating.

Interment will be in Taylor Cemetery, Brownsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions are made to First Baptist Church Zephyrhills, 38231 Fifth Avenue, Zephyrhills, FL 33542.
