She was born Jan. 22, 1907, at Sully, a daughter of the late Walter and Lottie Hedrick Kerens.
Her husband, Samuel Paul Cooper, preceded her in death in December 1971.
She is survived by one son, James "Tom" Cooper, Dryfork; one daughter, Arlenan G. Esposito, Lexington, S.C.; five sisters, Mrs. Grace Teter, Chenoweth Creek, Mrs. Ruby Roy, Medina, Ohio, Lula M. Kerens, Elkins, Mrs. Mildred Showalter, Dryfork, and Mrs. Rella Blizzard, Woodridge, Va.; one brother, Earl. G. Kerens, Elkins; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Cooper was a retired school teacher.
She taught in the schools at Sully, Alpena and Flanagan Hill for 32 years.
She was a member of the West Virginia Retired Teachers Assn., Tucker County Senior Citizens, and the Flanagan Hill United Methodist Church.
