Blanche Almond Baldwin, 82, of Charlotte, died Saturday, November 13, 1999 at University Hospital.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 16, at McEwen Mint Hill Chapel with the Reverend Bill Helms officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen City Cemetery.
Mrs. Baldwin was born July 28, 1917 in Albemarle, NC, to the late George Vanhoy and Annie Helms Vanhoy. She was a spinner in the mill industry and a homemaker. She was also a member of Hunter Acres Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her first husband, Luther Ray Almond.
Survivors include her husband, Kemp L. Baldwin of Charlotte; five children, Gary Randall and wife, Ruby of Albemarle, NC, Peggy Bartlett of Charlotte, Stephen Almond of Rutherfordton, NC, Pat Perry and husband, Buster of Stanfield, NC, Joe Almond and wife, Janet of Monroe, NC, and a stepson, Bob Almond and wife, Avaline of Charlotte; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
