Kenneth W. Voss, age 88, passed away on Monday, Jan. 31, 2005 at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center, Fitchburg. He was born on Nov. 1916 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Edward Charles and Elizabeth (Zoch) Voss. Mr. Voss was a longtime resident of the Sun Prairie area. He was employed with Strauss Printing for more than 42 years as a lithographer. During his lifetime he loved to hunt, fish and tend to his gardens. He was a well-known poet amongst his friends, with whom he enjoyed sharing his poetry. Mr. Voss is survived by his daughter, Kathy (William) McAvoy of San Bruno, CA; his son, Daniel Lindberg of Sun Prairie; grandchildren, Christy and Scott McAvoy; a friend, Ramona Johannes of Madison; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Edward John Voss. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005 at 1 p.m. at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, with the Rev. Russ Leeper officiating. Burial will be held in Burke Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and on Thursday from noon until the time of the service.
