Services for Charles Stephenson, 71, of Murray will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home with the Revs. Sammy Cunningham, Brett Miles and Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial with Kentucky State Police rites will be at Murray City Cemetery.
Mr. Stephenson died at 5:52 p.m. Sunday at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
A native of Weakley County, Tenn., he retired after a 29-year career as a Kentucky State Police trooper. He was a veteran of the Tennessee National Guard and attended Grace Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Dean Nance Stephenson; a daughter, Terie L. Burkeen of Murray; two sons, Mike Stephenson of Murray and David Stephenson of Franklin; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie P. Stephenson and Mary Mitchell Stephenson, and a brother.
