Mrs Frank D Grunawalt, sixty-seven years old, a life long resident of this community, died at her home in Bremen Friday morning. She had been ill for several years but death came unexpectedly while she was sitting in her chair.
Clara Lovina Smith was a daughter of Mr and Mrs Michael Smith and was born February 14, 1863, in Madison township.
On May 13, 1886, she was united in marriage with Frank D Grunawalt, who survives.
She is survived also by two daughters, Mrs George Wooster of Bremen and Mrs George Morehouse of South Bend and one granddaughter, Marguerite Morehouse, who has made her home with her grandparents.
She leaves two brothers, Frank and Harvey Smith of Hopewell, Kansas; two half brothers, Lewis Smith of Missouri and Henry Smith of South Bend and two half sisters, Mrs Margaret Darr of South Bend and Mrs Sarah Lidecker of Akron, Ind.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at Grace United Brethren church. She was a member of the congregation. Rev S P O'Reilley officiated in the service. Burial was in the Bremen cemetery.
