My Father, My Teacher, My Rock
He was my compass
Ever leading the way
He taught me to serve God
And he taught me to pray
He was a beacon ever shinning
Throughout the night & day
Guiding away from the shallows
Where the rocks & shoals lay
A Treasure to his Family
His neighbors and his friends
His kind & giving nature
Always eager to lend a hand
No better example
Could anyone find
Of what it means
To be humble, generous and kind
Patience, forgiveness
And unconditional Love
He was truly a Blessing
Bestowed from the Good Lord above
He was my Hero
My Mentor, My Friend
A life well lived
From beginning to end
A comforting presence
Like the stroke of a clock
He was my Father
My Teacher, My Rock
