William F. Klamm, age 88, of Lincoln, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013. He was born on Aug. 20, 1924 in Lincoln to William J. & Mable T. (Miller) Klamm. He graduated from Lincoln High School and the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving during WWII on Iwo Jima. He was proud to have been present during the famous flag raising on Mt. Suribachi. Bill caught the acting bug while attending the University and his passion for acting continued throughout his life in local theatre productions, performing at the Lincoln Community Playhouse, Pinewood Bowl, and The Lofte Community Theatre. After graduation he first worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber then changed careers, retiring from the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier.
Survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce, daughter & son-in-law Jennifer & Tim Howell of Lincoln, daughter Janice Kinnas & fiance Richard Kronen of Las Vegas, NV, grandchildren Travis (Cynthia) Howell, Lindsay (Vance Miller) Howell, Benjamin Kinnas all of Phoenix, AZ, Andrew Kinnas of Coeur d' Alene, ID, & William Kinnas of Boise, ID. A great granddaughter is expected in May. Former son-in-law Demetrios Kinnas of Boise, ID.
Visitation with family Thursday 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm with a Rosary at 7:30
